Hello everyone!
I'm awesome and hope the one who is reading is awesome too. Christmas- Ah! I love Christmas.. Everyone here has started decorating their houses with lighting and Christmas trees.

The decorations and my pretty Christmas tree at my house. It's beautifully decorated with lighting by my mom.

This is the largest Cemetery of Italy- A tribute to the soldiers those lost their lives during the wars.
This is something interesting!
There are names written on the wall those who sacrificed their lives and on the top it is written PRESENTE meaning present! :) :)

This is an unique fruit. it's a lemon-you can imagine how big it is according to the hand. The middle part is sour like a lemon and the white part is sweet. Isn't that hard to believe? I love this fruit.

Went to Slovenia unexpectedly, we must thank Gillian-my friend's host parents who took us to Slovenia.
My right leg is in Italy and my left leg is in Slovenia. This feeling was awesome!

Sacher- This is an Austrian sweet which I had it in Slovenia and at every bite of it I was like OMG! This is so good, this is so delicious!

Ok, so you gotta see this carefully!
There is a bicycle that you see, obviously..haha but the thing is its standing without support! Magic, isn't it? Well here is the secret, it is resting on a paddle with the support of the fence or whatever it is. The man just kept it and went away within a second and I was there wondering what the hell did he do with that bike!
(: Intelligent Italians! :)

This is the mixture of Italian-Indian food.
I boiled Italian pasta with Indian Maggi (a type of noodles) Masala which I brought it from India and had it. It was obviously delicious!
And yeah I forgot to tell you something- I put on 5 kilos so far! Work is still in process! :/ :|

The last Rotary Dinner was a Christmas dinner. So we got the beautiful scarfs with the Rotary banner on it as a gift. This was my Italian dad, Andrea's idea. This is for him- "Dad, I know you follow my blog regularly so I would like to share something..haha. The idea of scarf was amazing! Grazie mille!" (Thank you very much)

Just had a good farewell for the Norwegians who went back to Norway after their lovely three months' stay in Italy. It was really hard to say Good-Bye. I'm gonna miss them!

Lastly I would like to share a video of my cat, Michele..I call it Mickey! It's a funny video for me. Hope it's the same for you!
Have fun! :)
Hence Proved, Cats are very smart! haha I love this cat! :)

I should wind up now! Hope to see you soon. Be happy, be healthy like me.. haha

Arrivederci! (See you soon)

Ciao
Welcome to my blog!
So how am I at blogging? Are you all enjoying? I would love to get your comments if you have something to say. Though I am getting better at it, there is always room to improve.

Aww! They are so cute, aren't they? They are the best brothers in the whole world that I have seen so far! :)

This is one of the funniest mugs I have ever seen. Daffy Duck! :)

On the 17th November it was my three months in Italia! Mi piace! (i like it)
I went to Austria for a Rotary meeting. The name of the place was Sankt Veit approximately 2.30 hours from my place. We took a bus. it was pretty cold in Austria around 2°C. When we reached Austria, it was kinds strange 'cause suddenly everything was in German. Austrians are pretty good at English too.

With the help of this Gentleman, i learnt some random words in German like- Good evening, my name is Grishma from India, bye, thanks and all stuff!

When i entered the restaurant, I saw an Exchange Student like which I did not expect. She is Wakana from japan but she is being hosted by Austria. I am really glad that I could meet her.

It was so strange that within just few hours we were in another country and everything was in German!

Guess what is my Dad doing. Well on that day the temperature was 0°C so there was frost gathered on the car. So he is removing the ice. It was pretty much cold that day.

On the 19th the Exchange Students from my district were going to Cremona. There was a festival named Torrone- it's a cake festival and everyone eats Torrone there.

This is Torrone. It's amazing. There are a lot of different kinds of Torrones so it's hard to explain in particular. But this one was with chocolates-loved by everyone! :)

This is the biggest dog ever seen in my existence! I am kinda afraid of dogs and my friends here make fun of it.. haha.. but I have almost succeed in overcoming this fear!

The Exchange Students of district 2060 and district 2050. It was so nice meeting them. Felt like back home! :)

The next day I took Torrone for my class. They were all so excited to have it. This made me more closer to my classmates. :)

On 25th, we went to Trieste from school trip. We were going to go in Physics University and do some experiments. I chose to do cosmetics with my friends. We were going to make lip-stick, hand-lotion and perfume. We also learnt how to make gummies (candies).

This is what we made- Lipstick, Cream, perfume..

My dad's 50th Birthday. Golden Jubilee- Oh yeah, a big party. He offered us a big cake which was amazingly delicious. :) Grazie Dad!

On the 3rd of December, I met Daniele- last year's exchange student to Italy from South Africa. Of course now she speaks Italian very well. I hope I become fluent like her very soon. It was really nice meeting her.

Hope to see you soon. Thank you, take care..

Ciao! :)

An exciting week! :)

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my Italian world. I am doing good. It's becoming colder now a days here, but I'm loving it!

Kristine, Marit, Karl..These
are the Exchange Students from Norway for three months. They are through a Program of Inter-cultural School Exchange.

This is called Castange (Chestnuts). They are so amazing. We roast them and eat it after removing the skin. I'm so glad that I have them here 'cause unfortunately I could not find in my Indian city.

On the 21th we went to visit Ferrara city with our schoolmates. It's a historical city, very beautiful but we could not really catch it's history 'cause it was told in very fast Italian. But the group was fun so we had a nice time.

On the 22th we went to Venezia with school again. I must say Venezia is increadibly beautiful. I have visited Venezia four times but its worth visiting it again!

Happy halloween! :)
On the 30th of October, we celebrate Halloween. everyone dresses like monsters (if they want) and witches and all stuff. We went to a disco and it was fun. We returned home at around 5 in the morning.. :)

On the 5th of November, the exchange students of my district and I decided to Venezia togehter. It's always a pleasure spending time with them.

On the 8th we had a meeting
with our district govornor, Mr. Bruno. And that day I wore 'Chaniya Choli' which is a particular outfit of my state and we wear it when we have the festival of Navratri, a nine night festival in which we dance all night wearing this outfits.

I had made a presentaiton on India but due to lack of time I could not show it in front of everyone so I gave it to the Governor in a CD. I hope he likes it!

This in Italian is called 'Cous-Cous', which is Khus-Khus in my language. My sister Camilla made it for us. She loves it and now I love it too. It made me remind of the Indian food because of the curry that is added to this! :)

On the 12th, some of our schoolmates invited us for a basketball party. it was actually for the basketball players but many other people were there. That day a boy named Aaron, had his birthday so he gave us a treat. As it was his birthday, there has to be birthday bumps! He had to go dwon on his knees and one by one everyone beat him on his back. (not so hard ofcourse) and there was a deal- if he wanted to get his gift he had to get himself blindfolded and walk some metres. Yeah, he did! and his gift was a beautiful base guitar! :)

Having a hot chocolate with cream in so cold weather sounds amazing yeah?!

Ok, so I will conclude soon. On 17th, I am probably going to Austria for a day with Rotary. There is a kind of festival and we will have our dinner there. Austria sounds fun!

On the 19th and 20th, I'm going to Cremona a town near Milan. It's the festival of Torrone (cakes). And there are other exchange students coming from other districts too. I'm kind of excited and can't wait to meet them.

So, that is enough for today! I hope you liked it. See you later with more interesting news :) Till then be happy, be healthy and stay in touch! Thanks.

Ciao! :)

Sunday 16 October 2011

Welcome again!
Updated my blog very soon. Now keep checking my blog every 3-4 days 'cause i came to know that you all are eagerly waiting for my updates, aren't you? So going on I am going good.

I was coming back from my Rotary meeting and I saw this car, Porche parked so just took a snap. this reminds me of something, Probably my host dad is going to take me to see Ferrari's showroom! This is going to be pretty cool :)

On the 11th of October, Maren (the American Exchange Student) had her birthday and we celebrated it on the Saturday night.

We decided to go Bowling. Aha! Look at the smile on your face. It was the same when I came to know we were going Bowling. It was a nice party..Thanks to Maren! :)

Getting ready for my turn!

In love with my Snoopy Blanket! :)
I wind up now! See you soon! Thanks for reading :)

Back Again!

My apologies for taking time to update it!
Welcome back

Unlike India, here while counting money, instead of “.” we use “,”. Once I went to buy a packet of candies and the price was tagged as 2,90 euros(2 euros and 90 cents) and I thought it was 290 euros and it gave me a heart attack when I converted it in rupees which happens to be 17,690 rupees. I was like what the f**k! Then I figured it out. This was the first cultural shock to me so far!

Candies reminded me of one thing. My host father thinks that I am underweight and he keeps insisting me to eat more. Probably I am eating two times more than what I used to India so obviously I have put on 2 kilograms by now. J But my host dad wants me to be of 100 kilograms when I am back in India!

My school is going on all well. My first day was pretty good than I expected. But I still have to work a lot at my Italian so that I can interact more with my friends. For the first time ever in my life I loved the English class. Classrooms here are just awesome. We have a touchpad projector, our class laptop with internet and of course the blackboard. So in one of our English class we saw one part of ‘3 idiots’ a bollywood movie and a video of traditional dance too. Here Aishwarya Rai (bollywoood actress) is very famous. Most of the Italians like her a lot.

On Lorenzo's birthday (my classmate), he distributed some sweets. It’s a cake made from rice and chocolate, very delicious indeed! This sweet reminded me of one of Indian sweet (મમરા ની ચીકી).

I was called to the principle’s office and I met a journalist. She wanted a picture of mine and a small interview. This was unexpected. But somehow I made up my mind. She asked me so many questions in less then 5 minutes. But one thing which made me satisfied was the journalist told me I have a very pleasant personality. J
Thanks to Andrea, its because of his efforts that I had my article in the newspaper.

Every Tuesdays we have a meeting of ‘Progetto Giovani’ and it’s lot of fun there. We play, eat and have fun.

This is an interesting game. You have a ball and four players (two in one team) holding the rods. And we have to prevent the ball going into the hole by managing the rods which have plastic man stuck on them.

Having parties every Saturdays!

My host family! J

My host brother, Girogio went to London for 3 months to learn English instead of going to Trieste for his university! I will miss him..

Having a wonderful time with my cat (Michele) and dog (Asterix)!

Meet the new Italian girl.. haha
Window shopping with my host sister, Camilla and Giorgia (our friend) and they tried changing me into an Italian girl! J

I am getting much better at my Italian now so it's helping me to make more firends and to talk with more people. I am working hard to get fluent at it.

I think I will wind up now. Hope you enjoyed reading it. See you next time with some more interesting things. Till then good-bye, take care and thank you.

Mandi!
