Had an awesome week! Still in my vacation mood.. :D

Hello everyone,

Welcome again!

So continuing with 24th of August..

We were going to the Grada lake. We took two boats for sailing on a beautiful lake. Reaching the opposite side we had a bath in the lake. After lunch we went to have a walk inside the jungle near the lake and saw a waterfall which was so refreshing! After that we came back. In the evening, we went to Ago’s restaurant which was famous for meat but those kind people made some rice for me which was amazingly tasty! At 10, it was a party time so the waiters cleared up the table and loud music was turned on. It was strange but funny that everyone stood onto the table and started to dance. We danced till midnight and then returned home fully tired.

25th August..

Though I slept late the last night, I woke up soon ‘cause today we were going to the Gardaland fun park which is a kind of Essel World of Mumbai (India). But it was quite big and we had very amazing rides! From the entrance of the park till the end it was so beautifully decorated with flowers and carvings and all. As soon as I did enter the park I could see a big roller coaster taking my breath away. And we started with that scary one itself! We did not have to wait in a queue ‘cause we had a special ticket in which we had to pay more. And….there we go. The ride was just of few seconds which are speechless. The best part out of it- they had video cameras behind every seat so it automatically snapped pictures of us when the ride went down. After that it got displayed on the monitors and it was so much fun watching the weird faces of everyone! Another ride was similar to the first one but with sprinkles of water in between the ride. Then we went to a kind of closed room which was tried to be made like the pirates’ times. We had to sit in a boat which was taken in and we saw like fake dead bodies, ships, pirates and the war but it was feeling like a reality. Then we went to horror house and many other rides. We had damn fun that day. Back to home at 7.

26th August..

Visited the city of Mantona and then Doge’s palace. It was pretty huge and old too which was famous for paintings made on cement. Actually the painting had to be completed before the cement would dry up and amazingly they used to paint their walls and roof like this!

After lunch, we went for boating and visited the church on the other side of the bank. Fortunately, we were lucky that there was a competition of chalk painting on the floor which was held few days before. It was so beautifully painted with the chalk on the floor which was just speechless!

We hurried up to go back home ‘cause it was getting late for the club meeting. Ah! Now the funny thing goes on… I didn’t bring my party dress from Cordovdo (my carelessness and I accept it) so my kind host sister lend me a beautiful dress which did fit me perfectly. But her sandals could not fit me so unfortunately I had to go on my slippers to the meeting. Flip-flops on a beautiful evening gown..haha.. Well it was awkward for me but eventually I figured it out that who cares..after all I am an EXCHANGE STUDENT..which made me comfortable! I met our district governor of district 2060, Mr. Bruno Maraschin. It was a pleasure meeting him. Actually he already knew me because of my blog. Andrea sent a link to Bruno and when he met me he appreciated for being a good blogger. Thanks Andrea! And thanks Bruno.. I really enjoyed talking to you!

And thanks Eric (exchange student from Chicago who is at my house in India) for giving me an idea about blog! Eric is also a great blogger, his blog name is exchangeyeartoindia.blogspot.com

We all had to give a short speech and I started it in Italian and then English! Rightly said…
“Well begun is half done.” J
I also showed my scrap book in which I tried to cover the culture and tradition of India. People really appreciated it and I’m glad at it!

27th August..

Morning was with the family..saw many things like churches, palaces with museums! Then saw casa di Giulietta (Juliet’s house), her room, her bed, clothes, balcony and stuff! It was pretty good J
Saw an Indian restaurant on our way back but it’s not so very common here.
At 5, we went to Paulo’s house for a farewell party and barbeque. At last I gave a letter about how much I enjoyed with them to each of my friends of Verona. Chiara, Agnese, Alberto, Giorgia, Alice, Sophia, Maura, Anna, Enrico, Mateo, Francesco, Valeria and their families- it was nice meeting you all. Thank you for your kindness. Hope to see you again!

28th August..

Departure for Portogruaro and back home (Cordovado). Davide, Federico and Elisabetta from the Rotaract came to pick us on the station! And then at Lignano Sabbiadoro beach had a great time!

 29th August..

Visited Trieste. It is somewhat like Venice but some places were made over water after constructing a bridge and even today we can find water underneath the road. I also met David, past short term exchange student to India. He was in my district. It was a pleasure meeting him! I met David’s cousin Luke who lives in Australia. Amazingly, David was meeting Luke for the first time.. :D quite funny!

30th August..

Met the mayor of San Vito. Then we visited “Roncadin” pizza’s factoy..Yumm!! After having lunch in the pizza factory, we saw the mosaic school of Spilimbergo and believe me the mosaic paintings were just amazingly awesome!
In the evening, there was a party in Cordovado square.

31th August..

Visited the beautiful city of Venice. It’s so nice over there ‘cause there are no vehicles just boats and people walking over there. Did some shopping. In the evening we had a dinner with the Rotary president Mr. Vittorio Pascatti and guess what he already read my blog too.. J
I decided to wear a ‘Saree’ and after wearing it I tried walking ofcourse. Poor I, I kept stepping on it.. L So I had to wear it again. Damn! This happened to me thrice and I had to wear it again and again. Hats off to Indian women those who wear saree regularly! I could hardly manage it. Another Japanese girl, Makiko also wore her traditional outfit that day. Makiko was an exchange student 2 years back and came to meet her friends and family which is pretty cool! We were like the ROLE MODELS for that evening. Everyone was like “Can we have a photo with you?” haha...
Now, I’m going to tell you a secret so zip up your mouth ok! We were going to somebody’s field (don’t know whose) and stole grapes, apples, tobacco, chillies and tasted them. It was actually tastier ‘cause those were from the stolen stuff.. :-D Unfortunately, we couldn’t find watermelons otherwise that was our 1st target! :-P Then had a party kind of thing at my house so slept at 3..

1st September..

Visited the ham in San Daniele. I was pretty strong then I actually thought of but frankly speaking the smell was awful. Anyhow I didn’t die… :-D  Afternoon was at lake Cavazzo. Evening and overnight at home of a Rotarian Mr. Salvalaggio and had a party till 3.. J It was fun as always!

2nd September..

Back to Cordovado. In the evening, we had a dinner with Rotary president, Mr Pascatti. He is the coolest president I have ever met! J Thanks for the dinner president!

4th September..

There was a historical re-enchantment to Cordovado. There were four teams divided according to the region they belonged and the opening was done with drums and stuff. Then held the competitions which would declare the winner!
At night I said good-bye to all my friends ‘cause the next day they were leaving. I really had an awesome time with you guys J and will always miss you! L
